Accurate Translation Without Changing the Legal Meaning
Legal documents are closely connected to the legal system in which they were created. A term that has a specific meaning in one jurisdiction may not have a direct equivalent in another language or legal system.
Professional legal translation therefore requires careful treatment of terminology, context, structure and ambiguity while preserving the meaning of the source document.

Certified & Sworn Legal Translation

Certified Legal Translation
Certified translation may be required for legal and official documents submitted to an authority or institution.
Tell us where the translation will be submitted so that the appropriate service can be assessed.
Sworn Translation
Where sworn translation is specifically required, the appropriate service can be arranged subject to the language pair, document and receiving authority's requirements.
Further authentication, apostille or legalisation may be a separate process.
The receiving authority determines what it accepts
A professional, certified or sworn translation should not be assumed to satisfy every court, embassy, government department or foreign authority automatically.
If written submission requirements are available, send them with the document so that the appropriate translation service can be identified before work begins.
Legal Translation Is Not Legal Advice
Our role is to translate the language and meaning of the source document accurately according to the agreed scope.
Translation does not replace advice from an attorney, advocate, immigration practitioner, Notary Public or other appropriately qualified professional.
Ambiguity Should Not Be Invented Away
Legal documents can contain wording that is deliberately broad, technical or ambiguous.
A translation should not introduce legal meaning that does not exist in the source document merely to make the text appear clearer.
